This month, Hollywood Center Studios marks its 90th anniversary. A lot has happened since John Jasper developed plans to construct a "movie plant" at the corner of Santa Monica Boulevard and Las Palmas Avenue in the then still largely undeveloped community known as Hollywood. We've hosted thousands of film, television and commercial productions and provided a platform for some of the world's most talented men and women to do their work. (You can read all about our history here.)
And we're not slowing down. Earlier this year we completed a more than $2 million upgrade to our HD facilities, and this month we've added a new Virtual Set Stage for webcasts and other green screen production. Currently, we are entering in to an association with Sohonet, based in London, a global bandwidth provider for the far-flung entertainment industry.
Today, change is happening faster than ever. Technologies such as YouTube and the iPhone are creating new opportunities for producers, but also new challenges. As we enter our 91st year, Hollywood Center Studios is committed to keeping pace with the industry's evolving needs in order to help our clients continue to succeed in the new production environment.
